Sigma Omega Nu proudly honors academic distinction through its Alpha Order Academic Honor Society, recognizing Sisters who consistently excel both on a term-by-term basis and throughout the academic year. In recognition of their exceptional dedication, scholarships are awarded at both the Chapter and National levels, providing tangible rewards that further celebrate and support the academic success of our members.
Acknowledging that challenges may arise, Sigma Omega Nu remains committed to the holistic development of its Sisters. In the event that a Sister falls below the established GPA requirements, the Mentorship Program comes into play as a proactive measure to provide support. Through this program, the Sister is paired with a mentor who guides and assists her in refocusing on academic goals, ensuring a pathway to success. This comprehensive approach underscores our commitment to fostering a community where academic achievement is not only recognized but actively supported, demonstrating our dedication to the growth and success of every member of Sigma Omega Nu.

From the elegant Anniversary Dinners to the reflective Chapter Retreats, the glamorous Formals to the heartwarming Parents' Banquet, each gathering serves as a testament to the enduring connections that define our Sisterhood. In addition to chapter-specific events, Sigma Omega Nu proudly hosts two national sisterhood events—Battle of the Chapters and Sunnie Summit. The springtime Battle of the Chapters brings Sisters, both Active and Alumnae, from all chapters together for friendly sports competition, fostering a sense of unity and friendly rivalry. In the winter, Sunnie Summit gathers New Members from across chapters, providing them with a unique opportunity to bond, share experiences, and build connections that transcend geographical boundaries.
